Redomino and the environment

The reduction of waste and the energy saving are today very important principles. We want to take a stand for the good of our planet.

Recycling

  • Separate collection of organic, paper and general waste; everything can be recovered in the correct way.
  • We recycle hardware pieces we don't need anymore. We made several donations, above all to support the Linux User Group.
  • We only use printers rigenerated cartridges.

Energy saving

  • We stand-by our machines when we're not using them or we shut them down when we do not use them for longer than one hour.
  • At the end of the day we never leave in stand-by our monitors, printers or other machines but we use multiple plugs with switch.
  • We use fluorescent bulbs that enables a huge energy saving, estimated about the 80%.

Paper saving

  • Faxes are sent in digital format for a meaningful paper saving.
  • All the documentation is digitally stored.
  • Invoices and bills are sent by e-mail.
  • Little expedients such as using both sides of a paper sheet are important.

Atmosphere respect

  • The heating in offices has never been set higher than necessary; the ideal temperature to keep the environment warm enough and healthy is 18-20°. Higher temperatures are just an increase on the bill and a growth of CO2 emissions.
