Proxy service, startable on Redomino servers, allows a sharing of a single access to internet among more clients, handling a cache of the information previously downloaded which let you save band and increase the navigation speed.
Proxy is startable and configurable thanks to the Squid Open
Source programme: Squid is a high-performance proxy server, which
assures a great stability even on big network.
The local proxy server saves on disk the web pages, which have been requested and downloaded from a remote server, so that, when the next request comes, this is taken directly from the disk of the local proxy server, not from the original server. In this way, the answer time is really cut down.
The system has also a check automathism of the saved information update: the oldest one arre periodically deleted and substituted.
