What is Plone? 

Plone is a Content Management System, a tool enabling the user to add, edit, update and manage web application contents easily and quickly, even for users who have limited technical skills.

Plone enables automatic and intuitive creation of web content: with little effort  the content of your web site will be well organized and presented clearly in your web site. Additionally, Plone automatically generates navigation elements, makes contents searchable and indexable and keeps track of users, their permissions and security settings.

Plone is a free and Open Source technology, distributed under GPL  licence, which allows the user to use and modify all of its components without cost; moreover, it places great emphasis on usability and accessibility, complying with the US Section 508 and W3c guidelines.

 

  • Objectives

    The course objectives and main topics will be defined depending on the specific needs of the participant/participants. It will be a "custom-made" course,  organized according to the customer's specifications. Redomino's Plone custom trainings are ideal for building up skills of company staff, for people who need a specific training and have problems of time and difficulties following a predetermined time schedule, for quick-learners or for any other kind of necessity.

  • Course Program

    The main topics that will be discussed during the course will be defined according to the participants' existing skills, the methodology will be customized and the time schedule decided by the customer. We can organize intensive courses or long-term courses with weekly or monthly classes.

  • Training Material

    The main support will be Martin Aspeli's book, "Professional Plone Development", PACKT Publishing. During the course a projector will be used, in order to allow all the participants to follow every step of the training. Other training materials will be distributed at the start of the course.

  • Certificate

    Every participant will receive a certificate of attendance.

  • Target audience

    Redomino's Plone custom trainings are ideal for any kind of technical skill, we can organize courses for participants who have only limited skills or advanced courses for any level of user, for site administrators, designers, programmers, web developers.

  • Prerequisites

    No previous knowledge is required.

  • Location

    The site in which the course will be held may also be decided by the client: it could be your company location, another site you choose or a site we will offer at your disposal.
